Dear Phil
I found this
wedding invitation in my late mother-in-laws box of photos. The
wedding was held at Bonn’s Hotel on the 25th August,
1885. I googled Bonn’s Hotel wondering if I would find which
country this hotel was in. How fascinating to see the menu a few
years later.
I have
attached the invitation for you.

The
great granddaughter of Harris and Sarah Finer recently saw the
photograph below, advertising J Bonn of 2 Wentworth Street and 12
Great Prescott Street. In response she was kind enough to send
me a photo of the carefully preserved 1892 Bonn's Hotel menu from
her great grandparent's wedding. The menu is very lavish and it must
have been quite a feast!
Harris
and Sarah Finer lived their married life at 60 New Road, Whitechapel
and they had many children. Sarah died at the age of 66 in in
1931, and Harris died one year later at the age of 65. I hope
you find this little story as interesting as I did.
